Easy To Use And Clean

With its minimal design of only two buttons, the Firefly 2+ is simple to use. Just press down on the side buttons and take a long deep draw from the mouthpiece. It's simple to change the temperature with or without an app (if you have an Android phone).

Also, one of the big benefits of the Firefly 2+ is that cleaning takes less than 60 seconds. All you have to do is sweep out the bowl after every session, and wipe it down with an alcohol swab every couple sessions. You don't need to learn how to pull apart the vaporizer, it's intuitive.

While the Firefly range’s convection heating has always made it a winner in the flavour and vapor quality department, the Firefly 2+ goes a step further than its predecessors. They've increased the airflow by 33% which makes it very smooth to draw from.

The Firefly 2+ also utilizes what they like to call "dynamic convection". As you inhale the temperature is increased up to your max. This makes for vapor that is noticeably more flavourful than other vaporizers. The vapor also comes out nice and cool, with no harshness.

Instant On Demand Heating

The Firefly 2+ is making waves as a vaporizer that allows you to micro-dose. That’s largely thanks to its innovative ‘on-demand’ vaping technology which heats up the dry herb in the chamber near instantly, so you can enjoy small sessions on the go (without having to vape a whole bowl).

This can only be achieved through convection-style vaporizers, since conduction cooks the entire bowl in one go. This is a big step up in vaporizing technology and allows you to vape smaller amounts at once.

A few weeks later

After using this thing for a few weeks now, I've pretty much given up smoking joints, the taste is so good. As easy to use as any pipe. Did I mention the taste? First couple of hits are premium, the last couple in a bowl not quite as much... They say up to 10, 10 second hits per bowl, but it's more like 4 or 5, but my hits typically max out the time the unit heats for (20 sec??).
Pros:
Taste is A1
Super easy to clean.
Easy to pack around. relatively compact.
The temp control on the app works nicely.

Issues:
Airflow is a bit restricted generally, but especially if dirty or packed too tightly.
Buttons are finicky. The one on the left doesn't function so great at all on my unit, but this comes and goes.
The little rubber gasket on the lid started coming off a bit right away and has a small tear now, but this has not been an issue yet. I do need to contact customer support for a replacement.
App seems to make my S20 crash pretty regularly!!!
The unit works best when the bowl is filled just right. Too much or too little does give not you the best results.

Anyhow, I'm a vaping convert now after 45 years of doobies!! lots of things I like about the unit, but worry about the durability a bit with the issues with the seal and buttons.

I've never been a vape guy but the Firefly 2+ has thoroughly converted me. Quality and user-friendly vape! The android app is simple and works.

Smooth sweetness… or is that sweet smoothness?

Great unit, one of the better convection style vapes out there. Delicious tasting notes, nice and mild pulls, just the way I like it. Don’t expect massive clouds from this gadget, that’s not what it’s for. Go and raid one of the Kings Cross vape shops and hoik some dodgy juice if that’s what you’re after.

Unfortunately Apple, in their infinite wisdom, has pulled the Firefly app from their App Store. Anyone who’s gonna spend $$$ on a device would have researched it and already known that. A minor inconvenience, all of the app features are available from the inbuilt controls.. afaik anyway.

I am very disappointed with the product. The app doesn’t work in apple phones and it produces very little vapour.
